Theatre Calgary and the Citadel Theatre (Edmotnon) will be holding auditions for Mary Poppins this summer. Dates are still TBA. Please do not submit your materials until such time as we announce an audition date.
Once an audition date is set, we will provide contact information, character breakdowns and all other related information.
Auditions for our 2013 Shakespeare in the Park company have passed. We thank everyone who submitted for an audition.
Theatre Calgary's General Auditions for our 2013/14 season have passed. We thank everyone who submitted for an audition.
Artists who are members of the Canadian Actors Equity
Association will be given audition priority. CAEA members: please bring
your membership card to any audition. Non-Equity artists will be seen
when and if spaces are available.
Theatre Calgary is a member of
the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres, and operates within
the jurisdiction of the Canadian Theatre Agreement. Equity members cast
in any production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
PLEASE NOTE: A Christmas Carol is the only show in our 2012-13 season that requires youth actors.
Theatre
Calgary accepts submissions from young actors (ages 7 - 15) year-round.
When it comes time to audition for any child role, we refer to these
submissions.
Please include the following with your submission:
- A recent photo (school photos are ideal)

A resume outlining any performing experience (school/community plays,
choirs, etc), acting/singing/dance classes or camps, or special skills
(instruments, gymnastics, etc)
- Parent/Guardian contact information (phone, email, address)
- Age and birthdate of the child

Theatre Calgary and Alberta Theatre Projects are now accepting applications for the position of Production Assistant.
This is a seasonal, full time position, commencing on July 29, 2013 and continuing to May 9, 2014.
Reporting to the Technical Directors, the Production Assistant will primarily function as a buyer for the production departments of Theatre Calgary, and Alberta Theatre
Projects.
The successful candidate will have a valid Alberta driver’s license, take direction well and have initiative and be able to work independently. Computer literacy, good
organization, and effective time management skills are essential.
