Can I exchange my tickets?

Only tickets purchased by a current Theatre Calgary subscriber can be exchanged. All tickets purchased by non-subscribers are final sale and cannot be exchanged. Also, please note that subscription tickets can only be exchanged within the same production.

How do I make a ticket exchange?

Exchanges are handled exclusively by the Theatre Calgary sales office, which is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Call the office at (403) 294-7447, or visit in person on the +15 level of the EPCOR CENTRE. Please be aware that we experience very high call volumes at certain times of the year. Once you leave a voicemail, we will get back to you as soon as possible (typically within two business days if we are very busy).

Do I need to have my tickets on hand?

Yes, you must have every ticket you’d like to exchange on hand when you call or visit the sales office. For your peace of mind and ours, we must verify certain codes that are printed only on your original hard-copy tickets before we can process your exchange. The only exception is if tickets are being held for pick-up, in which case our sales staff will need to locate the original tickets in the office using the name, account number, or order number under which the tickets were purchased.

How much notice do you require for exchanges?

We require two business days’ notice for all exchanges, so that Theatre Calgary has a reasonable opportunity to re-sell your original tickets. Keep in mind that the sales office is only open on weekdays, and closes at 5pm. So for example, tickets to a Friday evening performance must be exchanged before 5pm on Wednesday.

When I make an exchange, can I sit in my usual seats?

When you exchange your subscription tickets, your seating for the new performance date depends on availability at the time of the exchange. Our sales staff will make every effort to find you similar seats, but this is not always possible due to high demand. We may ask you to consider seats elsewhere in the theatre, or on alternate performance dates. Once you know that you can’t attend a particular performance, don’t delay! The sooner you call to make your exchange, the better seating availability we’ll have to offer you.

I’ve already exchanged my tickets for a show once. Can I make a second exchange?

Yes, you can exchange your tickets a second time, however an exchange fee of $3.75 per ticket will be applied to the transaction. Keep in mind, too, that we still require two business days’ notice.

If I’ve given my tickets to someone else, can they make an exchange?

Yes, provided they have the tickets on hand when they call or visit the sales office.

I’ve already missed my scheduled performance. Can I make an exchange?

Unfortunately, we cannot exchange unused tickets. All exchanges must be made at least two business days before your scheduled performance.

I’ve bought my tickets online. May I make an exchange through Theatre Calgary?

Online ticket purchases are handled by the EPCOR Centre of Performing Arts. While we do not offer any exchanges or refunds on single tickets purchases, please feel free to call the EPCOR Centre ticket office at (403) 294-9494 with any questions about your online ticket purchase.
