Based on the international best-selling novel, this inspiring story spans cultures and continents. In Afghanistan, two young boys, Amir and Hassan, live together in the same household, but inhabit two vastly different worlds. After the innocence of the boys’ friendship is ended in an act of betrayal, Amir begins a journey that will take him far from his home, but not his guilt. A chance for redemption comes years later when Amir returns to his war-torn country.

Matthew Spangler has managed to adapt this novel to the stage in a breathtaking way.  You’ll be the first Canadians to see this inspired version. Mixing storytelling, imaginative staging, and live music onstage, we’ll see the beloved characters come to life and share their pain, glory and outrage.
