CALGARY ROAD RACE
The Banff Calgary Road Race has entered its third decade as one of the most anticipated and successful relay races of the outdoor running season in Alberta.
The 2007 race took place on Saturday, May 5.

An 11 stage, 136.2km relay, the race attracts more than 1,600 runners annually. The route traverses the Trans-Canada highway, from the start in the township of Banff to the finish in downtown Calgary. Runners wind through the majestic Rocky Mountains, going up and over the highest point on the Trans-Canada Highway, through the Foothills to the city limits, and on to the final stages along the City of Calgary’s scenic river side pathway system. The event concludes with a post race party in Eau Claire’s Festival Marketplace. The post race party is a family-friendly event that includes a hot meal, raffle draws and awards.
