If you can’t attend your show and don’t wish to exchange your tickets, you can donate them back to Theatre Calgary and get a charitable tax receipt. You may donate tickets up to two (2) days prior to the show.

Which plays are included in a 5-play subscription?
Please note that although A Christmas Carol isn’t included, subscribers get a 20% discount and the first opportunity to purchase tickets. Discounted tickets will be available until December 13, 2019.
How are performance dates determined?
For your convenience, performance dates for subscriptions are on a set schedule that you get to choose. For example, you might book your subscription for the second Saturday matinee. In this case, you’ll be subscribing to the 2 p.m. performance on the second Saturday of each production’s run, in the same seats.

What does my Flex Pass subscription package include?
Your Flex Pass consists of six (6) ticket vouchers that are each redeemable for one ticket to any of the five (5) mainstage performances. You can book your Flex Pass tickets in any combination: use it to take two people to three shows, three people to two shows, four to one show and two to another...you have complete flexibility! Flex Pass subscribers also receive the same benefits as 5-Play subscribers, including ticket exchange privileges and a 15% discount on extra tickets (subject to some conditions).
I didn't use all of my Flex vouchers from last season. Can I use them this season?
Unfortunately, flex vouchers can only be redeemed during the season for which they were issued. However, Flex Pass subscribers enjoy one free ticket exchange for the season they purchased. Learn more about Ticket Exchanges.
Where do I pick up tickets?
You can pick up your tickets at our new Box Office, located on the main floor of Arts Commons (220 9th Avenue SE), Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
On the day of your performance, you can pick up your tickets at the Max Bell Theatre Box Office. The Box Office opens one (1) hour before the performance starts.
However you choose to pick up your tickets, please remember to bring your Flex vouchers with you! We need to collect these vouchers in exchange for your tickets.
I've already booked my performance dates. Can I make an exchange?
Yes, you can. As a Flex Pass subscriber, you receive one (1) free exchange per production, within the season you've purchased. Please be sure to contact us at least two (2) business days prior to the original performance, and note that exchanges are subject to availability on the new requested date. Tickets can only be exchanged within the same production.

How do I subscribe?
It’s as simple as a phone call to our Audience Services team at 403.294.7447 (Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. MT). We’re pleased to accept VISA, Mastercard and American Express.

When will I receive my tickets?
Subscribers’ tickets are printed and mailed in the summer months. You’ll have them in hand well before the season starts.
If the season has begun, can I still subscribe?
Absolutely! After our first and second productions are over, we offer four-play and three-play subscriptions at a reduced cost. Flex Subscriptions can be purchased at any point during our season but must be redeemed during the season for which they’re purchased. You can also purchase the Musical Package, Snowbird Package or Pick Your Season Package after the season has started.

What if I can’t attend one of my chosen performances?
Your best option is to exchange a chosen performance for another time and date during the show’s run. Exchanges are free for subscribers, and the earlier you make the exchange, the better your seating options will be. You can only exchange tickets within the same production. Please contact our Audience Services team at 403.294.7447 (Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. MT) with any questions – they’re happy to help. You can also exchange in person at our new Box Office, located on the main floor of Arts Commons (225 8th Avenue SE), Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Payment is accepted by debit, cash, cheque, VISA, Mastercard and American Express.
If you can’t attend a performance, tickets can be given to friends or family. Or, you can donate your tickets back to us, and we’ll give you a tax receipt for their value. Sorry, we’re unable to offer cash refunds.
Can I bring additional guests to one of my subscribed performances? What is the cost and how do I book?
Yes! 5-Play subscribers get a 20% discount and Flex Pass subscribers get a 15% discount on additional tickets to subscription performances. Please contact Audience Services at 403.294.7447 (Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. MT) or visit the Arts Commons Box Office for details.
What is your subscription cancellation policy?
Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer refunds on subscription tickets. But you can donate your tickets back to us and request a tax receipt for the amount paid. To donate your tickets, please contact Audience Services at least two (2) business days before your chosen performance. Sorry, we can’t accept ticket donations for shows that have already taken place.
Special events perks
Special events are another fun benefit for subscribers. These events are open to subscribers who select specific performance days right from the start, or who exchange tickets for shows on one of these days. Read more about events nights like Tasty Tuesday and Wine Wednesday.
The curtain rises promptly at these times for all regular season shows:
