Alma is a career shoplifter with a knack for getting the "five-finger discount." When she's caught in the act by an overzealous security guard, there's more revealed than the steak she has stuffed up her skirt. With a cast of oddball characters, this new comedy is a hilarious look at the differences between society's have and have-nots.

There is no doubt: Morris Panych is Canada's funniest living playwright. Once again he manages to wrap keen comedy around potent ideas. This play had its world premiere last year in Washington. We are proud to be the first company in Canada to welcome this play home. Ridiculous fun.
The Shoplifters packs a comic punch.
Playwright Morris Panych is one of the best...it's a pleasure to watch Hair and McLellan joust.
