THEATRE CALGARY Safety and Comfort Protocols

At Theatre Calgary we continue our ongoing commitment to keep our patrons, artists, and staff safe and comfortable. We recognize our responsibility to have practical guidelines in place to ensure our performances are safe and enjoyable for everyone.

AIR FILTRATION
Theatre Calgary and Arts Common use newly installed MERV-14A HVAC filters and a UVGI air filtration system. Fresh air is brought into the building three times per hour. The UV Irradiation System treats the recirculated air before it is mixed with the fresh air three times per hour killing 99.9% of airborne bacteria and viruses.

MASKS & VACCINATION
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required to attend a Theatre Calgary performance. And although masks are not mandatory, patrons and staff are more than welcome to wear a mask. While food and beverage consumption is permitted in the lobbies and in theatre seating, we ask that you be considerate of the patrons seated near you.

ARRIVAL
Please plan your arrival to ensure you can be seated in adequate time for the performance. Theatre doors generally open thirty minutes before a performance begins. Please check your tickets or online to confirm your show time, as the start times may vary from show to show and season to season.

SEATING
Please respect physical distancing in the lobby for patrons who are not comfortable with tight spaces. All patrons are required to sit in their reserved seat for the duration of the performances and not sit in any empty seats or rows. If you require any assistance with your seating or have any questions about changing seats, please approach one of our ushers or staff. They will be happy to help you.

STAYING HOME
If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have come in close contact with someone who has tested positive we ask that you stay home and not come to the theatre. If you are experiencing any symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat or trouble breathing, we also ask that you stay home. Tickets can be exchanged by calling our box office at 403-294-7447 or through your online Theatre Calgary account.

CONTACTLESS TICKETS
Theatre Calgary provides the option for you to present your ticket on your phone or print it at home.

DEPARTING
When the performance is finished, we ask that you exit the theatre in a safe and patient manner. If you require more time to depart, we ask that you stay in your seats until everyone has left the theatre. Our ushers will be happy to assist you if required.
