Production Finance Associate
Theatre Calgary is seeking a part time Production Finance Coordinator to provide day-to-day support to the production department in tasks related to Finance/Accounting needs. The role will have a strong emphasis on accounts payable and an understanding of weekly payroll and union agreements would be an advantage.
- Process accounts payable invoices for production to ensure timely payment and maintain
exceptional relationships with our suppliers.
- Management of artists contracts to ensure completeness and timely payment in line with terms
of the contract.
- Manage relationships with unions and ensure correct union deductions from production
employees and contractors and timely payment of dues to multiple union organisations.
- Processing of Weekly Hourly payroll for production employees
- Assist production team in the management, processing and reconciliation of company credit
cards and personal expenses.
- Assist with Purchase order creation and tracking.
- Work closely with the Senior Accountant and Finance Administrator to complete vendor pay
runs and send remittances in a timely manner.
- Provide support to the Senior Accountant and Finance Administrator when necessary.
- Ad hoc reporting and historical information as required by the production department.
This position is 20 hours per week, with opportunity for additional hours during busy periods.

Theatre Calgary is seeking Canadian Actors’ Equity Association (CAEA) Assistant Stage Managers to work with us on two productions of our 21-22 season. Theatre Calgary is an A House Theatre, a member of the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT) and operates under the Canadian Theatre Agreement (CTA) with Canadian Actors’ Equity Association (CAEA).

Director of Development
Theatre Calgary is seeking a creative, and energetic individual to serve as its next Director of Development (DOD). Reporting to the Executive Director, Maya Choldin, the DOD will lead the engagement, identification, cultivation, and solicitation of major donors and corporations, leveraging the potential for significant gifts and corporate philanthropic support and sponsorship. The DOD will maintain and expand public and private sector relationships for revenue outcomes to deliver on priorities in the Maximizing Our Impact Strategic Plan; build other strategic community relationships; and collaborate with the Theatre Calgary team to maximize successful fundraising efforts. The DOD will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic direction in all fund development activities which includes sponsorship acquisition, major gifts, annual campaign, donor relations, planned-giving, grant writing, direct mail, community fundraising initiatives and special events.
As an integral member of the Theatre Calgary Team, the DOD will play an active role as a thought-partner in planning for the organization’s overall advancement. Supporting, assisting, and partnering with the Executive Director, staff, board and volunteers, the DOD will operationalize the strategic plan while building a thriving, creative and diverse culture serving artists and the Calgary community. The DOD will conceptualize and implement a plan to grow Theatre Calgary’s philanthropic support and donor base while leading and motivating a highly motivated development team in devising successful operating fundraising strategies, implementing appropriate delivery and support systems, and evaluating results.
