Introducing TC OUT LOUD

CALLING ALL LOCAL PLAYWRIGHTS!
Want to have your new work read OUT LOUD?

CALLING ALL LOCAL ACTORS!
Feel like reading new plays OUT LOUD?

This season, Theatre Calgary will be hosting 3 evenings of new work! Each night will feature 3 pieces from local writers, read by local actors, alongside a new piece by an established playwright. These works can be any genre or format, sad or funny, or anything in between!

We invite you to join us for our inaugural TC OUT LOUD on Friday, December 1st, at 7:00pm in the Theatre Calgary Rehearsal Hall with featured writer, KAREN HINES.

These will be low-key evenings (free of charge), celebrating new work and our fantastic community of artists.

Interested in attending?
Please RSVP to Chris Stockton, Learning & Engagement Manager.

To submit:
For playwrights: By Tuesday, November 14th at 5:00pm, please email a 10-15 page excerpt, as well as a 2 line blurb about the piece to Jenna Turk, Artistic Associate.
For actors: By Tuesday November 14 at 5:00pm, please submit a headshot and resume to Jenna Turk, Artistic Associate.

While we are only looking for 3 pieces to present on December 1st, and there will be two more opportunities this season – so keep an eye out for future submission deadlines for both playwrights and actors!

(All artists selected will be compensated for their contributions, as per the Canadian Theatre Agreement.)
