For Theatre Calgary: The Secret Garden. Philippine-born Canadian actress, Ma-Anne is best known for portraying the role of “Kim” in the Canadian Premiere production of Miss Saigon at the Princess of Wales in Toronto. She has since graced stages all over the world, including Broadway and London’s West End in productions of Les Misérables, Jesus Christ Superstar, Flower Drum Song, Sunday in the Park With George, Martin Guerre, Miss Saigon, West Side Story, Mamma Mia, Grease, and Cats. She earned the Dora award for her portrayal of “Diana” in the Toronto production of Next to Normal (Mirvish/MusicalStageCo). Founded in 1991 by Métis artist Dean Bareham after graduating from Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre, Green Fools Theatre brings circus, theatre, and visual arts to life in Calgary and beyond. Tara Kiely
Theatre Calgary (sound department) credits include: Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill, Little Red Warrior and His Lawyer, Forgiveness, Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville, Made in Italy. Tara’s journey started when she graduated from MacEwan’s Theatre Production program in 2018. Since then, she has worked in Edmonton, Calgary, Banff, and the Yukon. While she has worked in various departments including lighting, wardrobe, and video, her dedication and passion is sound. She is very grateful for this opportunity and will always consider it a career highlight. An extra special shoutout to Bronwyn, Michael, and Travis, the best three musketeers!
